MIRI: The clearing of forests at the fringes of Mulu National Park have been halted – for now – following widespread human blockades by the native Penan and Berawan ethnic communities over the past few days.

A check on the ground Wednesday (Feb 20) showed that the private oil-palm plantation company had withdrawn its tractors, excavators and workers.
