Boy admits committing incest with sister

KAMPAR: A 14-year-old boy pleaded guilty in a magistrate’s court here for incest with his elder sister, who is now 16.

However, no sentence was meted out, as the court was waiting for a report from the Welfare Depart­ment.

The incestuous acts led to the birth of a premature baby girl on Dec 15 last year.

The offence was committed between 2017 and May 2018 at a house in Taman Diawan when the girl was 15 years old and the boy, 13.

He was charged under Section 376B(1) of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum of 30 years’ jail and whipping on conviction.

The media was not allowed to enter the courtroom.

Magistrate Nur Faizah Muhamad Saleh adjourned the case to Feb 20.

She set bail at RM3,000 in one surety. The boy was not represented.

The boy, who was dressed in a blue chequered shirt and black slacks, covered his face as photographers took pictures.

Several family members were seen waiting outside the courtroom, and a woman, believed to be a relative, started yelling at the media for taking his photos.

Other relatives had to hold her back to calm her down.

It was reported on Dec 16 that the girl, a school dropout, was unaware that she was pregnant until she gave birth in a toilet inside the family house.

The baby suffered head injuries after dropping into the toilet bowl.

It was reported that the girl admitted that she had had sex with her brother several times in a room at the back of their house.
