Get info on scholarships at the UCSI booth

KUALA LUMPUR: The UCSI University booth was buzzing with visitors at the Star Education Fair 2019.

The two most common questions asked were on scholarship availability and the cost of the university’s courses, said student enrolment centre national marketing senior manager Chan Joe Jim.

“We have 104 programmes and the university offers scholarships and education grants.

“Parents and students can come to our booth to discuss scholarship opportunities.

“Come in with an open heart as children today are more educated and aware.

“We need to discover their passion and narrow down their abilities based on their skills,” said Chan, adding that it was all about how students developed their strengths, weaknesses and willingness to take risks.

The varsity’s professors and PhD holders were also present at the booth.

This, Chan said, was because parents and students wanted to have a feel and knowledge of who they were speaking to.

“It’s also to highlight that education does not stop at the degree level.

“When they engage with our professors – many of whom are PhD holders – the conversation will continue into why they did their PhD or Masters,” he added.
