PETALING JAYA (Bernama): The magistrate's court here issued a four-day remand order against four men involved in an attack on firefighter Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim during a fracas at the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple in Subang Jaya last week.
The order was issued by Magistrate Mohd Nor Hafidzuddin Yusoff on Friday to assist with police investigation under Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder.
Muhammad Adib was seriously injured in the incident and reported to be still in a critical but stable condition at the National Heart Institute.
The riots which took place on Nov 26 and 27 following disagreements over the relocation of the temple to a new site had resulted in several people being injured as well as vehicle and property damage.
So far, 99 suspects have been arrested in connection with the fracas.
