SHAH ALAM: It was a sweet homecoming for incoming PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim when he arrived for the party's national congress at the Ideal Convention Centre here on Saturday (Nov 17).
Decked in a blue baju Melayu and wearing a big smile, the 71-year-old PKR founder arrived at the congress at about 9.17am.
Anwar was flanked by senior members of the other component parties in the Pakatan Harapan coalition.
They were DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng, Parti Amanah Negara president Mohamad Sabu and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia secretary-general Datuk Marzuki Yahya.
The two-day PKR National Congress is highly anticipated as it would see Anwar taking over the reins as party president from Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and the announcement of the party's new leadership line-up.
