KUALA LUMPUR: The Johor Orang Asli Network wants the government to use cases of orang asli land rights won in court as a basic for new laws to protect their rights.
Its chairman Dolah Tekoi said 11 representatives of the network met the special officer of Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Senator P. Waytha Moorthy in Putrajaya yesterday to seek acknowledgment of orang asli customary land rights as contained in the Pakatan Harapan manifesto.
