Dance teacher claims trial to sex assault on student

PUTRAJAYA: A dance teacher has claimed trial at the Special Court for Sexual Offences Against Children here to eight counts of physical sexual assault and performing oral sex on a 15-year-old boy who is his student.

Lee Meng Chun is accused of committing four counts of oral sex and another four of physically sexual assaulting the boy by touching his private parts.

Lee, 42, allegedly committed the offences at a community hall in Serdang between April and June 13, this year.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Aimi Syazwani Sarmin offered no bail as it involved a minor and multiple charges.

Lee’s counsel Teaw Zhen Yang asked for a minimum bail amount.

Sessions judge Yong Zarida Sazali set bail at RM10,000 for each charge in one surety pending mention on Nov 23.

She also instructed Lee to surrender his passport, report at the nearest police station once a month and ordered him not to disturb the victim or prosecution witnesses.
