Three held over abducting Indian

PETALING JAYA: Three men have been detained over the abduction of an Indian national.

It is learnt that the suspects, aged between 31 and 40, abducted the man from Sentul and confined him in Sungai Pelek on Tuesday.

Sentul OCPD Asst Comm S. Shanmugamoorthy said police managed to rescue the victim following a raid at a house in Sungai Pelek just days after the abduction.

“We also arrested the suspects. We are now investigating the matter,” he said yesterday.

The suspects have been remanded until Thursday.

“The case is classified under Section 365 of the Penal Code for abduction,” he said.
