Pirated discs and counterfeits destroyed


BUKIT MERTAJAM: Loads of blockbuster movie discs along with boxes of designer brand handbags and fashion accessories worth about RM168,898 were destroyed in Bukit Minyak here after officers from the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry found them to be fake.

The DVDs and Blu-Ray discs were found to be infringed copies while the handbags and belts, some of which carried popular brands like Chanel, Gucci and Lacoste, were counterfeits.
