Ex-sailor and wife promoting Malaysia on two wheels

Patriotic couple: Mohan and Yogeswari will be cycling the Rhine Route in Europe with Malaysia in their heart.

KUALA LUMPUR: A taste of cycling along the River Danube in Europe during their second honeymoon last year has inspired a couple to pedal out of their comfort zone for a different kind of holiday – a 1,250km bicycle trip through six countries in the continent.

To commemorate Malaysia Day during their 21-day journey this month, former ship captain Mohan Sivasundram, 55, and his wife Yogeswari Kandiah, 48, will act as “mini ambassadors” of Malaysia.
