Michael Wong (pic), better known as Guang Liang, will perform his first outdoor concert at Stadium Merdeka on Nov 10, reported Nanyang Siang Pau.
As in his last concert three years ago, he vowed to hold a large-scale concert for “all to attend”.
He also insisted that tickets be priced at RM99, which endeared him to fans.
He said the concert, titled “Tonight I’m not Lonely” was “to celebrate loneliness and enjoy loneliness” with fans.
Famous for his hit single, Tong Hua (Fairytale), he said it was difficult to locate a suitable venue and had at times wanted to give up searching.
He then decided to hold it outdoors. His last concert was held at Putra Indoor Stadium.
