PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has received an honorary doctorate from the Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Japan.

The 93-year-old premier was conferred the honorary doctorate for his contributions to the advancement of scholarship, culture and humanity and distinguished service to the university.
