PETALING JAYA: It is “unparliamentary” for Umno Kinabatangan MP Datuk Bung Mokhtar Radin to use foul language in Dewan Rakyat, says Datuk Seri Ti Lian Ker.
“Regardless of party, such language should not be used in the august House.
“Every MP should respect the rules and regulations in Parliament,” the MCA Publicity Spokesman said in a statement.
“As politicians we must not forget that we represent the rakyat and MPs are in Parliament because the rakyat gave them the honour when they voted them in,” he said.
He said whatever personal differences politicians have against each other should be addressed professionally.
On Tuesday, Bung uttered the “F word” in the House after being taunted by other MPs.
Puncak Borneo MP Willie Mongin asked Bung which casino he went to, in an apparent reference to a video clip being circulated purportedly showing Bung gambling.
