A viral picture of a luxury beef pan mee that costs 13,800 yuan (RM8,239) at a restaurant in Shijiazhuang, Hebei, sparked a heated discussion on social media, Sin Chew Daily reported.

The menu stated that the dish contains four ingredients each from the “sky, land and sea”.

Another beef pan mee, priced at 398 yuan (RM238), has a 1.2kg Australian lobster and Chinese herb Cordyceps sinensis.

A store manager said four bowls of luxury beef pan mee had been sold since it was offered six months ago.

Chinese consumers said it was just a gimmick to attract customers.

One of them even commented that the dish is as expensive as a whole cow.

> A backstage footage of K-Pop girl group Apink at the 2018 Korean Music Festival in Seoul, which was recorded without the knowledge of the artistes, was aired on social media, according to the same daily.

The footage was taken by mini-cameras fitted on the ceiling and a tripod at the backstage area.

The artistes expressed horror after discovering the unauthorised video as they were touching up their make-up and attire at the backstage area.

Hayoung, a member of Apink, commented: “Oh my God, we had no idea we were being filmed.”

Fans urged the organiser to explain the matter.
