Penang CM slams NGOs over highway project criticism

GEORGE TOWN: Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow (pic) has lashed out at several non-governmental organisations (NGOs) for stirring up negative sentiments over the proposed Pan Island Link 1 (PIL 1) highway.

He criticised the NGOs for using "inaccurate visuals" to fan public fear on the proposed project connecting Gurney Drive, Paya Terubong, Relau and the Penang Airport.
