PETALING JAYA: The Tabung Harapan Malaysia fund has crossed the RM150mil mark in only one and a half months since it was launched.
The Finance Ministry announced on social media that the fund amounts to RM153,445,814.86 as at 3pm on Tuesday (July 17).
Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad announced the setting up of the fund on May 30 for Malaysians to contribute towards a reduction of the country’s debts.
Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng said that donations to Tabung Harapan Malaysia would only be used to settle Government debts.
