SHAH ALAM: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is in a better condition after being admitted to Universiti Malaya Medical Center on Saturday (June 23) after suffering severe pain due to a prolapsed disc.
His wife Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail (pic) said she had visited him early Sunday (June 24) morning.
"He is getting better and he will be getting further treatment by the doctors," said Dr Wan Azizah when met at the Selangor state government's open house.
On another matter, Dr Wan Azizah said she had was unaware of the arrest of activist lawyer Siti Kasim on Sat night.
"I was so busy with my husband last night that I did not follow the news. I am sorry," said Dr Wan Azizah.
Dr Wan Azizah also said she left it to the police.
Siti was arrested by police for helping a woman get away from her mother.
The police had barged into Siti's home and removed the woman, who was Siti's client and arrested the lawyer.
The police took her to the Kajang magistrate’s court to obtain a four-day remand order, but the remand application was rejected by Registrar Sharifah Fadzilah Zolkifli.
