IGP: 15 arrested in anti-terror nationwide swoop; two suspects planned attack on non-Muslim voters on polling day

KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 15 people of various nationalities, including a secondary school student and a woman planning to attack non-Muslim voters on polling day, were detained following a police swoop in five states, said Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun.

The Inspector-General of Police said the 15 - six Malaysians, two Filipinos with Permanent Resident status, a married couple from a Northern African country, a Bangladeshi and four Filipinos - were detained in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Johor, Kelantan and Sabah between March 27 and May 9.
