Unofficial tallies show Pakatan retaining Penang with bigger majority


GEORGE TOWN: Unofficial results have shown that Pakatan Harapan has retained Penang with a bigger majority.

All DAP candidates are commanding sizeable leads over their opponents as at 8.30pm.

DAP is contesting 19 state seats and seven parliamentary seats.

Sources said several traditional strongholds of Barisan Nasional on the mainland have fallen to Pakatan.

Pakatan Harapan won 29 state seats in the last general election. Umno has 10 seats while PAS has one.
