Chong: Anthony Loke’s birthday wish will remain a pipe dream

SEREMBAN: DAP’s Anthony Loke’s birthday wish to change the government will remain a pipe dream, said Datuk Chong Sin Woon.

“This will remain his dream. If we look at the reality, the  political landscape here in the counrty, whether it is at the federal level or state level,” he told reporters after submitting nomination papers at Wisma Negri here.

Chong, Barisan's candidate for Seremban parliamentary state, was asked to respond to Loke’s birthday wish to have a change of government.

“The change in government is just a dream in view of the political landscape in East Malaysia and the support of Umno. The change in federal government is impossible. This is also the same for Negri state government too,” he added.

Loke, DAP national organising secretary and Chong will be contesting the Seremban parliamentary seat.

PAS’ Shariffuddin Ahmad is also contesting

Loke, the incumbent Seremban MP, defeated Barisan Nasional's Datuk Dr Yeow Chai Tiam with a 12,553-vote majority in a five-cornered fight in the last GE.
