Johor Ruler receives Darjah Kerabat Kedah from Kedah Sultan


JOHOR BARU: Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar (pic) has received the Darjah Kerabat Kedah (DK Kedah) award from Kedah Sultan Sultan Sallehuddin ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah.

The investiture ceremony at Istana Bukit Serene began with a prayer session conducted by Johor deputy mufti Datuk Yahya Ahmad.

Also present were the Crown Prince of Johor Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Tunku Laksama Kedah Tunku Shazuddin Ariff Ibni Sultan Sallehuddin, Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin and Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah.

After the ceremony, Tunku Ismail accompanied both Rulers and other guests to lunch.

Sultan Sallehuddin, who ascended the throne as the 29th Kedah Sultan on Sept 12 2017, had earlier received the Darjah Kerabat Johor Yang Amat Dihormati Pangkat Pertama  (DK1) award from Sultan Ibrahim at Istana Anak Bukit in Alor Setar on Oct 30 last year.
