PETALING JAYA: Ahmad Tajuddin Mohamed, better known as Taj of disbanded R&B group Innuendo, has given a statement to police here over allegations made by Datuk Farid Kamil (pic).

Deputy Petaling Jaya OCPD Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood said Taj and his lawyer came forward to the Mutiara Damansara police station at around 11am on Tuesday (Feb 20).

"We took his statement and will review it before handing it over to the Deputy Public Prosecutor's office.

"Urine test on the 40-year-old man is still being analysed and as of now, no arrest has been made," he said when contacted.

Taj's lawyer Muhamad Ashmeer Mohammad Ashrof Raja said in a live feed on a web portal that his client has given his cooperation to the police.

"We leave it to the police for any further action," he said.

It was reported that Farid lodged a report at the Taman Tun Dr Ismail police station alleging that a few individuals had spiked his drink with drugs prior to his altercation with the police in January.

Farid was arrested for allegedly attacking a police officer and a civilian at the Kota Damansara traffic police station on Jan 11.

He claimed trial to the assault charge on Jan 16.

The actor was then charged on Jan 25 with self-administering THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol), one of the active components in ganja, into his body.

He also pleaded not guilty to the drug charge.
