SHAH ALAM: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Pribumi) chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad might contest in Langkawi, Kubang Pasu or Putrajaya in the 14th general election.

"They are telling me that I have a good chance of winning in Langkawi, Kubang Pasu and Putrajaya. So be ready for that," he said.

The former prime minister said this at a press conference held after Pribumi’s first annual general meeting at the Ideal Convention Centre on Saturday (Dec 30).

Dr Mahathir added that Pribumi's debate session for delegates was closed to media to ensure that delegates felt comfortable speaking out.

“We want people to be free to talk because if you talk in front of the press, you have to worry about how the press will twist what is said,” he said.
