MELAKA: Melaka Barisan Nasional fully supports the idea of fielding direct Barisan candidates in the 14th general election (GE14) as proposed by Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
State Barisan chairman Datuk Seri Idris Haron said the Umno vice-president’s proposal was the best way to solve seat tussle among component parties, which could undermine the coalition’s chances of victory in certain seats.
