KUALA LUMPUR: Philanthropist and business tycoon Tan Sri Vincent Tan donated RM250,000 each to Mercy Malaysia and Tzu Chi Malaysia yesterday.

It brought the total sum of donation he made to the two charitable organisations to RM7.6mil to date.

The Berjaya Corp Bhd executive chairman said both organisations responded to the recent Penang floods swiftly, rendering assistance in various ways to help the affected communities.

“We hope that our contribution will help them continue their good work. Our hearts go out to those who were affected by the floods,” he said before the cheque presentation at Berjaya Times Square Hotel here.
