BR1M 2018 application opens on Monday

KUALA LUMPUR: The application and updating of information for 1Malaysia People's Aid (BR1M) 2018 will commence on Monday (Nov 27) until Dec 31.

The Finance Ministry, in a statement Friday, said application and update of information could be carried out manually or online via BR1M official portal at https://ebr1m.hasil.gov.my.

For manual application, the form can be obtained for free from any Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) branches, LHDN service centres and LHDN offices at Urban Transformation Centres.

“Applicants can also download the application form from the BR1M official portal,” it said.

The ministry said spouses of previous BR1M recipients who had passed away as well as applicants who were not eligible last year needed to make a fresh application for BR1M 2018.

For existing recipients, updating should be carried out if there are changes to any personal information or at least once in three years.

The ministry also said the Government did not issue any statement on BR1M via WhatsApp and social media.

“Official information can only be obtained via BR1M 2018 pamphlets distributed to all BR1M recipients and via its official portal at https://ebr1M.hasil.gov.my.

“The Government hopes payment of BR1M 2018 would help to lighten the cost of living of the people,” the ministry said.
