KOTA KINABALU: Police in Labuan raided an entertainment outlet and nabbed 28 women working without a permit early Tuesday.

Sabah CID chief SAC Datuk Salehhudin Abd Rahman said the Filipino women, aged between 23 and 53, were working as waitresses in the entertainment outlet.

A 52-year-old local man believed to be the caretaker of the premises and two Filipino male workers aged 37 and 57 were also nabbed in the 2am raid.

"We are investigating the suspects under the Immigration and Human Trafficking Acts," he said in a statement.
