Floating ‘kolam’ makes it into Malaysia Book of Records

GEORGE TOWN: It took 100 volunteers about 117 hours to complete the project, but their efforts did not go unrewarded - their artwork made it into the Malaysia Book of Records as the “Biggest Floating Kolam”.

Measuring 638.02sq m, the majestic-looking kolam of a peacock was completed at 10am yesterday by volunteers from Shangri-La’s Golden Sands Resort, the Penang Hindu Association (PHA) and Inti International College Penang.
