Tight security at Klang court as gang suspects set to be charged

KLANG: A security ring has been cast around the Klang Court complex and its surrounding area as preparations are being made to charge suspected members of an underworld gang.

The 33 individuals, who are allegedly members of Gang 24 Apache, were brought to the court as early as 8.15am on Monday.

Heavily-armed policemen cordoned off primary roads leading to the courthouse.

On the fourth floor of the courthouse, where the Session Court rooms are located, policeman in Kevlar and armed with machine guns stood guard.

A large number of family members of the suspects were also present outside the court.

Some were teary eyed and crying as they waited for the suspects to be brought out from the court lock-up.
