PETALING JAYA: While Malaysians are still reeling in shock over the death of an 11-year-old boy who died after being allegedly abused by his religious school’s assistant warden, another case has popped up.

Datuk Azizul Rahman Mohd Zaman says his 11-year-old grandson was punished in the same way – a teacher at a religious school in Batang Kali had whipped the boy’s soles with a water hose for failing to memorise verses in the Quran.
