Mum recalls trauma of dealing with two kids with mental illness

KUALA LUMPUR: Over 20 years ago, Poh Kim Pheng (known as Madam Kim) had been completely ignorant about mental illness and the havoc it could wreak – both on those suffering from it and on the caretakers.

That was until her teenage son, Chan Kee Whay began showing signs of schizophrenia which began to affect his concentration on studies and his social life.
