KUALA LUMPUR: A High Court has struck out a lawsuit filed by lawyer M. Manoharan to remove Tan Sri R. Nadraja as chairman of the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple Dhevasthanam, a post he has been holding for the last 25 years.
The Dhevasthanam comprises three main temples here and in Selangor, including the Batu Caves temple or Sri Subramaniar Swamy temple. In striking out the suit in chambers, High Court judge Justice Asmabi Mohamad held that Manoharan has no legal standing to bring the action.
