PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) have raided the offices of Malaysiakini office here on Tuesday for alleged improper network use.

According to the news portal's website, two computers were seized in the raid.

“This is to facilitate investigations regarding a video uploaded on KiniTV in July which is being investigated under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act for alleged improper network use,” said Malaysiakini.

The video uploaded on July 26 showed former Batu Kawan Umno deputy chief Datuk Seri Khairuddin Abu Hassan criticising Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali at a press conference.
