SEPANG: The nine Australians who stripped to their underwear at Sunday’s Petronas Malaysian F1 Grand Prix appeared at the Sessions Court here on Thursday.

The men, aged 25 to 29, who were detained since Sunday night, arrived at the court compound at about 9am dressed in suits and shirts, with scores of journalists’ cameras trained at them.

They had stripped to their underwear resembling the national flag to celebrate countryman Daniel Ricciardo’s victory after the race on Sunday.

Police detained them immediately after the race to assist in investigation for provocation and public indecency.
