KUALA LUMPUR: A disabled man, who bought a used car at an auction but was remanded for seven days instead on suspicion of being a car thief, has won his suit against the police and the Government.
The Penang High Court found in favour of Kamarul Azmi Ngah Supian Suri, who had sued for false imprisonment, and awarded him damages totalling RM135,000.
