Telekom card theft ring severed


ALOR SETAR: Four men were arrested with more than 40 stolen Multi-Service Access Node (MSAN) cards worth about RM80,000 at a second-hand goods shop at the Angsana Light Industrial Zone in Sungai Petani.

The Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) cards, which can be installed in a telephone exchange to connect customers’ telephone lines to the core network, to provide telephone and broadband connectivity from a single platform, were stolen by two of the men, a former TM employee’s son and a former TM contractor.
