KUALA LUMPUR: Some 1.2 million rural families will be better connected following Celcom Axiata Bhd’s collaboration with the Rural and Regional Development Ministry to provide an affordable call plan for rural folk.
Its minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said Celcom’s initiative will start with some 500,000 Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority’s (Risda) smallholders and gradually expand to other rural communities.
