SHAH ALAM: If you are feeling something strange, who ya gonna call?

No, not The Ghostbusters, but Medical Mythbusters Malaysia (M3), a Facebook page managed by 28 doctors and two pharmacists who will answer queries posted to them about medical matters.

Its founder Dr Mohd Syamirulah Rahim said M3 was set up to disseminate accurate, credible and quick information to the public.

“The idea behind M3 is to create awareness, as the information required by the public may not be easily available,” he said at the launch of the Facebook page by Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah here yesterday.

Dr Mohd Syamirulah said that there had been many questions posted on M3 such as those from parents who were concerned about the controversy on vaccinations.

M3 would also put up informative articles that address common medical problems.

The M3 Facebook page can be found at www.facebook.com/MedicalMythbustersMalaysia/
