PETALING JAYA: Motorists on Thursday had to deal with an unusually heavy traffic along several major highways in the Klang Valley.

The StarTraffic's twitter page @mytraffic told motorists to expect delays at Old Klang Road from Pearl Point to Mid Valley in Kuala Lumpur (KL).
Along the Federal Highway, cars coming from Bandar Sri Permaisuri were moving bumper to bumper on Thursday morning.

Those using the Kerinci link have been advised to expect delays from the Pantai toll heading towards Petaling Jaya and KL.

The StarTraffic said that at the Damansara Puchong Highway (LDP), a stalled car at KM17.3 had been obstructing traffic from Cable Bridge to the Sunway toll, but has since been cleared.

It, however, says that traffic remains backed up from Taman Megah onwards.

Heavy traffic is also causing delays from the Damansara toll to the Maarof Interchange heading towards Jalan Semantan at the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE).

In Bandar Sunway, massive delays have also been reported along Jalan Taylors heading towards Sunway South Quay.

Traffic was at a snarl along the LDP (from Bandar Utama and Pusat Bandar Puchong), the Puchong Sg Besi Highway, the NPE (from Subang Jaya), Persiaran Tujuan (from USJ 12 and the Federal Highway), Persiaran Kewajipan (from the Sime Darby Medical Centre), and the Kelana Link  (from the Subang Airport Road).

Along the E5, Kesas motorists can expect delays from Kota Kemuning until Summit USJ.

A three-car pile-up at KM27 Bukit Lanjan was cleared around 12.20pm and traffic heading towards the Duta toll is reportedly easing.

At the East West Link, traffic remains slow from Taman Desa to the Kerinchi Link.
