No sighting of Chinese boats


KUALA LUMPUR: There has been no sighting of any Chinese boats or vessels by the Royal Malaysian Navy’s KD Serang in the waters near Beting Patinggi Ali off Miri despite revelation by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim that 100 Chinese registered boats had been detected in the area.

Navy chief Datuk Seri Ahmad Kamarul­zaman Ahmad Badaruddin said the navy’s fast attack craft was deployed from Sepanggar, Sabah and arrived at the location in the South China Sea yesterday morning.
