Reforms meant to transform Parliament, says Azalina

KUALA LUMPUR: Parliamentary reforms are meant to transform Parliament and are not aimed at government intervention with the legislature.

“The Government has no intention to interfere with the Speaker’s powers but to ease the Parliament’s transformation,” Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said said in a statement here yesterday.
