Cenbet expresses disappointment over Court of Appeal conversion decision

PETALING JAYA: The Court of Appeal has abdicated its judicial role to defend the supremacy and sanctity of the Federal Constitution, claimed the Centre For A Better Tomorrow (Cenbet).

The remarks were a response to the judgement by the Court of Appeal on Dec 30 concerning Muslim conversions, in deciding on the Government’s appeal against kindergarden teacher M. Indira Gandi who had previously obtained a decision to quash the conversion certificates of her three children.
