Husam Musa's wife receives death threat

PETALING JAYA: The wife of former PAS vice president Datuk Husam Musa has received a death threat as tensions rise within the party leadership.

Salahuddin Ayub, Parti Amanah Negara deputy president and former PAS vice president, said in a telephone interview that Husam told him that his wife, Datin Rohana Abd Rahman, had received a death threat via a text message.

"Two days ago, over a phone call, he told me his wife received a text message containing a death threat," said Salahuddin.

"He (Husam) was at a police station to lodge a police report," he added.

Salahuddin refrained from divulging any more information regarding the incident, simply saying that he was upset by what happened to Husam's wife and hoped that the police would swiftly investigate the matter.

When contacted, Husam said that he would be either hold a press conference or release a press statement on Thursday over the issue.

Tensions are running high within PAS after Husam claimed that PAS president Datuk Seri Hadi Awang had admitted a desire to cooperate with Umno during the Selangor mentri besar crisis last year.
