Woman gouges out boy’s eyes

A WOMAN gouged out the eyeballs of a 12-year-old boy after she quarrelled with the boy’s family, reported Kwong Wah Yit Poh.

The woman, who is in her 50s from Changchun, China, also attacked the boy with a knife when he was alone managing his family’s grocery shop on Sunday.

She then set the shop on fire before committing suicide by drinking pesticide. She died on the spot.

The boy’s parents rushed back upon seeing their shop on fire and managed to save their son. He is currently receiving treatment in a hospital.
