Four detained, ransom recovered in Kajang kidnap


SHAH ALAM: Four men have been detained in connection with the kidnapping of a five-year-old boy in Kajang yesterday.

The four, including a taxi driver who returned the victim to his family, were picked up less than 24 hours after the kidnapping, that had gone viral on social media.

Selangor police chief Senior Deputy Comm Datuk Abdul Samah Mat said police have also recovered almost all of the RM300,000 ransom money that was paid.

They boy was back in the arms of his family some eight hours after his brazen abduction went viral on WhatsApp messaging service and social media.

The boy was snatched from his mother outside his kindergarten in Sungai Chua, Kajang.
