KOTA KINABALU: More than 200 people were made homeless when a fire swept through a coastal squatter settlement in east-coast Sandakan district, the second major blaze at a settlement in the state in less than two days.
About 30 wooden houses were destroyed during the 3am blaze yesterday at Kampung Lupak Meluas Darat, about 10km from Sandakan town.
