Kerteh airport forced to shut down


Time off: Stranded workers leaving Kerteh airport after flights and helicopter services that ferry them to offshore platforms were cancelled.

KEMAMAN: The worsening haze situation here has forced the Kerteh airport to be closed due to low visibility.

Petronas East Coast regional office communication and media relations manager Zamri Mohamad said the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) gave the order to cease operations of all domestic flights and helicopter services transporting offshore workers.
