Crackdown on Bersih 4.0 rally if plan is to topple govt


KUALA LUMPUR: Police will intervene if the proposed Bersih 4.0 rally on Aug 29 and 30 is about toppling the government, said Datuk Seri Noor Rashid Ibrahim.

The Deputy Inspector-General of Police said police will allow the rally to take place according to the laws but would not tolerate calls to topple the government illegally.
