University student killed in seven-storey plunge

SUBANG JAYA: A 20-year-old student fell to his death from a height of seven storeys at a private university here.

District police chief Asst Comm Yahaya Ramli said authorities were alerted to the incident at around 12.45pm Wednesday.

"The auxiliary policeman at the campus said the body was discovered at the bottom of one of the blocks in the university compound.

"Initial investigations have revealed that there was no foul play involved," he said.

ACP Yahaya said the deceased had been identified as a Malaysian.

The victim’s body has been sent to University Malaya Medical Centre for a post-mortem.
