Traffic jams expected on highways before Raya

PETALING JAYA: Traffic is still smooth but expected to build up later, according to the Malaysian Highway Authority on Thursday. 

A spokesman said traffic had returned to normal by 11am, after the first wave of Raya exodus on Tuesday and Wednesday.

“We expect traffic to get heavier by late afternoon and tomorrow morning,” he said.

To ease congestion, the fourth lane will be opened for southbound traffic.
